Post-COVID-19 Era

COVID-19 is going to change the world forever, particularly in the way businesses operate going forward. Only those businesses will survive who will be agile enough to respond faster than the impact of the virus, and can support a majority of their operations (including support functions such as IT, HR and admin) remotely. In that regard, expense management is ripe for disruption. Given the financial uncertainty that is not only affecting every business in the world at present but is also bound to outlast the crisis, it is a forgone conclusion that expense management is one of the first operations which needs to undergo a digital transformation.

In the new normal, companies with Cloud-based expense management had complete visibility and control over company spends, while they carried out operations from the comfort of their home, which invariably helped them in granular level monitoring of the expenses happening across the organization. With AI-supported expense capturing features, employees were also able to capture their expenses without the fear of transmitting COVID-19.
